December 08
December is here! I don't know about you, but for me, this past year flew by at light speed. Without a doubt, 2008 brought many of us to our knees and some even out of their homes. It has been a huge year of change for me as well, but when I stopped to examine it more closely, I realized that some great things happened as a result. I realized that I could look at this as a year of loss or a year of blessings.
While having to pull our belts tighter isn't exactly fun, it did teach me to look at the things I took for granted in a new and better way. It made me also appreciate the inner hero in me, and to clearly see the inner hero in many people around me.
This year we may have to think in terms of smaller being better, and to give more of ourselves, rather than our bank accounts. This year is our chance to actually make Christmas about a time of renewal and re-connection, and that is exciting, indeed.
I am not saying don't buy anything this year. We need to keep the economy going and people working! I am just saying that keeping things simple can be a chance for us to get super creative.
There are so many cool ways to give. Maybe you know a friend or family member who could use their house or apartment cleaned, or who needs baby sitting for a few days, or even a few hours so mom can take a long, hot relaxing bath and read a good book. Maybe there is an elderly person in your life who could use a trip to the grocery store or better yet, someone to go for them?Maybe you can help a stranger by letting them go ahead of you in the line at the grocery store. Believe it or not, that's one random act of kindness could change their whole day.
There are certain things we already have plenty of, and then other things we actually need, and want. We can gift ourselves, and others with simple things that will make them feel good about who they are. Bundle that with a beautiful hand written letter telling them what they mean to us. This is exactly why we decided to offer such a deep discount this Season. You'd be surprised at how a few key beauty items with a note of love and gratitude (and how beautiful they are to you) can make a girls' spirit soar. Go ahead, write your friend/mother/wife a love letter, it's not just for poets anymore :)
Love is free and always in abundance. There are so many ways in which we can offer this timeless gift. It's always the right color, and one size truly does fit all.
If you know someone who is going though a break up or having a hard time getting past one that's already happened, take a peek at my book THE 30 DAY HEARTBREAK CURE available for presale at Amazon.com for only $13.00 and change. I promise they will thank you for it. The path to love needs to be cleared and my book can show you how.
So instead of feeling like "Christmas already?? Didn't we just do that last year??" Let's just get into the mindset of gratitude for what we do have and what we know for sure. That is, we are super loving beings, who are worthy of being loved. KISS (keep it simple, silly) indeed!
With Deep Love and Even Deeper Gratitude,
Cat
