APPY FEBRUARY!
February 2011

"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us." -- Albert Schweitzer

Well Happy February, Friends!

I love this month, probably because it's my birthday month and I love birthdays. I always make my birthday last as long as possible, and I make sure that it's a wish(es) come true for myself as a reward for being here another year.

My wishes come true are to have dinner with my truest friends and count my Blessings. Gratitude is everything.

A good habit to get into is to arise a little earlier and spend the first minute laying in bed with your eyes closed while saying and FEELING thank you for one full minute. If you have felt lately that you don't have much to be thankful for, do it anyway, even if you have to think of even the smallest thing for which to be grateful.

When I was going through the hardest times in my life, be it a death in the family, losing a spouse, losing a job, having to move, all of the things most people are familiar with at one time or another, I ended up on my knees practicing this one simple act of gratitude while focusing on the good. It helped me mightily in getting to the next level in my life. Just that one minute of gratitude every morning followed by lighting a candle, and 5 minutes or more of writing down what I intended to change to better my life and what I intended to do in order to make it so, changed things dramatically.

Intent and emotion coupled with a passion for change and a belief that God will meet us halfway can work miracles in a life. Get in the habit and I assure you that change will take place. It is not voodoo or empty wishful thinking, but simply a shift in attitude to a positive mental consciousness and having that is everything.

You've heard it many times and I believe it is true; being grateful brings you more for which to be grateful. If I had not been through so much in my life and yet crawled out of the rubble, I would never have the nerve to write this inspiration. But I know it works and now more than ever, we need to shift our thinking on a daily basis.

So, my birthday wish this year is for personal peace and prosperity (whatever that means to you) for myself and all of you, my friends. What a great birthday present that would be!

I Believe!

Love For Sure,
Cat
