The beauty of owning our power is that we then get to share it. We get to share our best and highest selves. We get to become inspirations to others around us, shining our lights in the world and all because we are learning how to be.

Just BE.

Imagine that.

If we are to find any peace in this life we are going to have to learn how to let other be as well. We let our friends be, but we have a hard time letting people in our relationships be, and sometimes they have a hard time doing that also. When we are busy working on our own enlightenment, and minding our own business, we don't have the time or wherewithal to worry about what someone else is doing or thinking. We're busy working. We're busy working towards happy enlightenment. Suddenly, It doesn't matter what someone else is doing or thinking, we are too busy minding our own business. We are busy managing our own personal growth. And others should be busy doing the same.

Becoming the most loving, courageous, outrageous you, is your business.

I took a poll at the studio today, and asked people what owning their power meant to them.

"Owning my power means that I am self assured in who I am, knowing what I want, knowing what I am capable of, and being self confident." (male)

"Owning my power basically means I can do whatever I put my mind to do. There are no limits. I am the boss of me, I totally believe I can do anything. If I want to do something, I will, and if I don't, I won't. Simple as that. No one can make me do something I don't want to do." (female)

"This is my life. Owning my power means anything is possible, I am a risk taker and a rule breaker." And I love that about myself. (female)

"Owning my power is living life on my terms" (female)

"Owning my power is Presence. I realize that I am a presence, and when I walk in a room people see me. I am special in the way that everybody is special. I hope everyone realizes that they are special" (male)

"Owning my power is not being afraid to be proactive. People hold themselves back because they've been told that they can't, or they shouldn't. I say, shake it if you've got it. Just because someone else hasn't done it, doesn't mean you shouldn't" (male)

"Owning my power is just letting myself come through. Not worrying about what the world around me is expecting. Letting myself float to the surface and move straight ahead." (female)

"Owning my power means I know my positive streaks and using them to my advantage. I build on my strengths. That's owning my own power. (female)"

"For me, owning my power means freedom. And peace. I can just simply BE. It is knowing what I want, drawing a map to get there., and make moves towards whatever it is. It is sharing, caring, loving, and putting my needs first, so that I can be strong enough to help others with out killing myself in the process. I used to hand it over like crazy, then find myself at the whim of someone else's issues and emotions. I learned the value of the word NO, and saying it without guilt. Owning my power is knowing what I stand for. Owning my power is about keeping things simple." (Me)

What does owning your power mean to you? Give it some thought, and you will feel the difference. You are more powerful than you realize. Own it!

Affirmation:

I am a part of the great "I am." I AM stronger than I ever believed I was. I AM more courageous than I ever thought I was. I AM worth loving in the best way possible and I star with loving myself. Though my time may not always be mine, my heart is mine, my soul is mine, and my mind is mine. I will follow them wisely. I choose to honor my feelings.

Before me is a blank page in which I draw a beautiful picture called my life.. My thoughts are alive with what who I want to BE, and what I want to create.

What will make me happy? I want to know.

I pray for divine consciousness to show me that, and how to get there, step by baby step.
