REE YOUR MIND AND THE REST WILL FOLLOW!
September 09

As many of you may know by now, I began intensely studying the art and science of the mind known as hypnosis 4 years ago. At first I thought I would just study with the dream of opening a private practice, to help people lose weight, quit smoking, change habits, or ease fears and anxiety. I knew it worked because I had personally used hypnosis to quit smoking. I subsequently learned self-hypnosis to stay in a relaxed and peaceful place through a very tumultuous period of my life as I had terrible anxiety for a long time after 9/11.

Stage-Hypnosis just kind of followed a natural progression to marry my life as an entertainer to my passion with hypnosis. I am passionately in love with this field!

Mind Management is a vital factor in insuring a successful life. For me, "successful" means to stop the unconscious self-sabotaging behavior patterns through self-understanding and acceptance. This understanding and acceptance will make things work in our favor more than they already do.

Many people think of hypnosis as something like voo-doo, something scary, and not part of God. I want to dispel that myth by stating that hypnosis is not something I do to people, but with people. You can be as religious or spiritual as the next guy, but if you aren't aware of how your own mind works and how to change behavior patterns that do not serve you, you will continue to have a life of struggle and frustration. I believe that Body, Mind, and Spirit ALL have to be in play to achieve a life of splendor and Majesty. Yes, Spirit is absolutely a HUGE part of it, but as I say to the audience, "get your mind on board and your body, spirit and life will follow; that's how the subconscious works."

Understanding other peoples minds and how they work is as important as understanding our own. We can't communicate effectively if we are speaking as visual thinkers to someone who is a feeling type of thinker. It is part and parcel of why people argue and walk away frustrated and feeling misunderstood. We are not on the same mental page.

We have one brain, but two minds. The subconscious mind is a wonderful thing. It is the child in you, the fun part of your mind, the "watchdog" of your being. It does not judge, criticize, or fear, which is why stage hypnotism is so much fun. People on stage who are hypnotized (or in "trance" as we call it) know that there is an audience, they see the audience, they basically just perceive them as a sort of "painting," They just don't take the trouble to reason why the audience is there; therefore, the fear of performance does not exist because the fear of failure is not present.

Hypnotic stage volunteers become super creative, super uninhibited, and tap into what I like to call their inner "super powers." It is fun and fascinating for me to witness from my point of view onstage, and if I do my job right, the audiences enjoy it too.

After my performance of "Mind Journey" in New York City, I received e-mails from a few of the people who had been volunteers in the show. They thanked me for freeing them. They ended up having more fun than they had known in years. They felt liberated from their own harsh, limited, and judgmental thoughts.

That word alone says it all. Judge MENTAL. See what I mean? I believe they felt so happy because were free from what other people would think of them; a very challenging place to get to in the conscious mind. In trance, they felt as if they could do anything. Get your mind on board with this, and just imagine what can happen.

We can all be free from judgment and fear-based thinking. Many illnesses are born from being a slave to our fears and creating more anxiety than we need to have. What we believe, becomes. Our minds are just that powerful. If we are believing it, we are conceiving it.

What are you believing?

At the last show, I had the opportunity to meet many of you and I do hope that I will meet many, many more! And, in case I haven't told you lately, we here at Cat Cosmetics appreciate and adore you. We thank you for your business, and your friendship! We value you!

Have a fantastic September (how did that happen??) and remember to be good to yourselves!

Love and Blessings,
